# Risks & disclaimers

pumphood is open, permissionless software. Using it means accepting the realities of on-chain crypto. Please read this page before you launch or trade.

{% hint style="danger" %}
**You can lose everything.** Tokens launched on pumphood are highly speculative and most will go to zero. Never spend more than you can afford to lose.
{% endhint %}

## Market risk

* Any token can lose **all** of its value, quickly and permanently.
* pumphood does **not** endorse, vet, or guarantee any token launched through it. Anyone can launch anything.
* Nothing on pumphood is financial, investment, or legal advice.

## On-chain risk

* **Transactions are irreversible.** Funds sent to the wrong address or lost keys cannot be recovered by pumphood.
* Smart contracts, however carefully written and tested, can contain bugs or be affected by issues in their dependencies.
* You are responsible for verifying [contract addresses](/under-the-hood/contract-addresses.md) before you interact.

## Scams to watch for

* **Copycat tokens** — a token can reuse a famous name or logo. A name means nothing; check the contract address.
* **Impersonation** — a fee recipient handle or token metadata can claim to be someone it isn't.
* **Fake sites** — always navigate from the official pumphood link. Bookmark it.

## Your responsibilities

* Secure your own wallet, keys, and login credentials.
* Comply with the laws of your jurisdiction, including any securities, tax, and anti-fraud rules.
* Only launch tokens you have the right to launch — no trademark or IP infringement, no fraud.

## No guarantees

pumphood is provided **"as is,"** without warranties of any kind. The value, liquidity, trading volume, and outcome of any token are never guaranteed.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.pumphood.fun/more/risks.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
